Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions families make.  Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR & R) organizations help parents take the guesswork out of choosing care ~  The following list includes all of the licensed child care providers in Carroll County. CCR & R also has a list of non-licensed providers who do care in their home.  A family child care provider who operates in their own home is not required to have a license if they are caring for no more than 3 children other than their own for any part of the day, but less than 24 hours.
License exempt providers are coached and encouraged to build a professional portfolio. The portfolio could include information about First Aid and CPR, their Contract, Criminal Background Check and Training Certificates. If you consider a license exempt provider, ask to view the provider’s portfolio.  For more information on choosing a child care provider for your child or for information on financial assistance for child care - please call Debbie Meader at    1-866-261-7555  or email  debm@lrcsc.org
